Turkish Baths at The City Baths Newcastle

After a lengthy, multi-million-pound restoration, Newcastle's City Pool and Turkish Baths are both now fully open and ready to welcome visitors for blissed out relaxation in the heart of bustling Newcastle. The reopen also marks first time in eight years since the city’s historic Turkish Baths was open to the public.

This historic venue was lovingly restored to celebrate its rich history and heritage. The regeneration work of the Grade II listed building has sensitively restored many of the buildings original features and has created a restful place for swimming and yoga at The City Baths Newcastle, as well as bringing in top of the range gym facilities to modernise the space.

Featuring ornate, art deco inspired relaxation rooms, heated chambers that range from 40C up to 70C and invigorating plunge showers to refresh the body and mind, Newcastle's The City Baths offers an authentic Turkish Baths experience right in the heart of the city centre.

It's a little known fact that Newcastle was one of the first UK cities to have a Turkish Baths in 1859. Now, once again, the city boasts spectacularly restored Turkish Baths as well as a range of spa facilities and treatments.
