If you're looking for Indian restaurants in Newcastle city centre, there are so many to tempt you. You'll find Sachins on Forth Banks, specialising in Punjabi cuisine. A branch of the Indian restaurant chain Akbar's, is situated near Newcastle Central Station; and Newcastle's famous Indian street food restaurant, Dabbawal, on High Bridge is exceptionally good for vegetarians, and also has a second location in Jesmond. Finally My Delhi, Newcastle's newest Indian Street food restaurant, serves Delhi-cious tasting foods and drinks inspired by the street food vendors of India's capital city Delhi. You'll find My Delhi on Clayton Street, around the corner from The Gate.
Just outside the city centre there are more Newcastle Indian restaurants to be found, including Luigikhan's, a contemporary Indian restaurant on Westgate Road. Around the Newcastle Quayside area there are several excellent Indian restaurants, including Ury, which specialises in authentic Keralan cuisine, and Aneesa's Buffet Restaurant, which receives rave reviews and is perfect for curry lovers with big appetites.
