Unfortunately - as a result of recent and tightening lockdown restrictions, Wylam Brewery have decided to temporarily close their Tap Room at Palace of Arts in Exhibition Park. Any scheduled events have also been cancelled.
During the closure of Wylam Brewery at Palace of Art, why not consider purchasing your beers directly from their webstore or in the numerous wonderful independent pubs, bottle shops and beer bars that are still currently trading.
Founded in 2000, Wylam is a 30 Barrel Micro Brewery that resides at the Palace of Arts in Exhibition Park, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Alongside the Brewery there is a Brewery Tap and Kitchen, which is open for business Thursdays to Sundays each week and serves the best in craft beer both on keg and cask including their famous Jakehead IPA, range of Heritage Cask Beers and core keg beers which offer a full spectrum of flavours for all tastes. Their kitchen serves small plates of traditional British Fayre with a North East twist from Thursday - Sunday each week and operates on the simple ethos of fresh, local, seasonal and of course tasty. On Sundays, tuck into a traditional roast of locally sourced fine cuts; a tasty vegan option is also available.
Wylam Brewery's Grand Hall plays host to Live Music, Weddings, Pop Up Events including the ever-popular Battle of the Burger street food festivals. Beer enthusiasts can even go on a guided Brewery Tour at Wylam Brewery which takes place every Saturday at 11am and includes an introduction to the brewing process, a brief history of the Brewery and the opportunity to sample four of their beers. Tours must be pre-booked, visit the website for more information.
Famed for hosting some of the most eclectic events, Wylam Brewery at Palace of Art provides the alternative undercurrent to Newcastle's diverse nightlife.
Wylam Brewery's home at the Palace of Art in Exhibition Park is the last remaining building from the 1929 North East Exhibition. The Exhibition was an ambitious project built to celebrate and encourage Craft, Art and Industry at the start of the Great Depression.
Wylam Brewery has come a fairly long way since local-born founding fathers John Boyle & Robin Leighton pored over their first malt bills and recipes in a potting shed in the village of Wylam, Northumberland. Wylam Brewery's homegrown brews are now enjoyed in quality pubs and bottle shops across the land.
