A crop of authentic breweries have popped up around the creative community in Ouseburn. Tyne Bank Brewery can be found in an industrial-style, warehouse with tap room on the edge of Ouseburn and hosts tours for beer fanatics as well as an eclectic mix of events from dog-friendly socials to pop-up markets. Nearby in Hoults Yard, Full Circle Co is the latest addition and boasts 20 different cask and keg offerings whilst Brinkburn Brewery, Bar and Kitchen is a small, independent brewery passionate about great beer and serving top-notch scran.

Arch 2 Brewpub in Ouseburn is a must-visit bar with a microbrewery and Indian street food. Situated on Stepney Bank, Arch 2 is set in one of the arches under Byker Bridge and includes an open plan bar and microbrewery with an open fire for you to huddle round on cold evenings.

Anarchy Brew Co originated in Northumberland and now is a Newcastle-based brewery with the addition of a new taproom which regularly hosts gigs, DJ sets and events.
