The Biscuit Factory is the UK's largest independent art, craft and design gallery set in the heart of Newcastle's cultural quarter - Ouseburn Valley. Housed in a former Victorian warehouse, the beautiful and dynamic art gallery is set over two floors, displaying a range of exciting contemporary fine art, sculpture, original prints and jewellery, quality craftsmanship and design-led homewares. Everything is available to buy; supporting the hundreds of artists represented by the gallery.
The Biscuit Factory runs a constantly rotating exhibition schedule so there is always something new to see every time you visit. ‘Headline’ exhibitions from four to twelve weeks long are complemented by an array of work from artists based in the North East, nationally, and some internationally!
Buying art is a personal experience and whether you are a seasoned collector or a first-time buyer, the gallery’s professional and friendly team are there to assist you with your choices. For UK residents; the interest-free Own Art purchase scheme, buying art is simple and affordable, whilst international visitors can have larger works shipped back home if they require.
The gallery's in-house café The Factory Kitchen is located on the first floor, serving a fresh and innovative brunch menu, homemade cakes, ice creams and coffee. It also boasts a partially-covered rooftop terrace.
