After a successful fundraising campaign, Mog on the Tyne intends to reopen! Please keep an eye on social media for further updates and reopening announcements.

Right in the city centre, visit Mog on the Tyne, the first cafe of its kind in the region and enjoy an oasis of calm, away from work, studies and shopping! What could be better than to retreat to one of the oldest streets in Newcastle city centre and to spend an hour with the delightful family of rescued cats, delicious cakes, pawninis and carefully chosen hot and cold drinks; all from local suppliers.

Come meet the mischievous rescue moggies including siblings Rum and Sybil, Wednesday and Bear, Stan, Garry and Sir Francis. You'll be guaranteed to fall in love with the delightful Ballet and Wobble. Adopted from Thailand and born with a neurological disorder, these playful kitties are often seen wobbling, but are happy, healthy and not in pain.

Cat lovers travel from far and wide to spend time with the purrfect pussycats, so booking via their website is recommended. The cat cafe runs regular themed evenings such as quiz nights and bandanna craft evenings so there's always something not to be missed at Mog on the Tyne.
