Hjem in Northumberland was awarded its first Michelin Star in 2021.
Restaurant Hjem recognises that 'home is where good food is' and we couldn't agree more. The award-winning fine-dining restaurant is Northumberland's first Michelin Star restaurant and is located in the small, rural village of Wall.
The intimate, independent restaurant can be found within local pub, The Hadrian in Wall, Northumberland. Diners will be treated to an ambitious tasting menu made from the best of Northumberland's produce.
Hjem (pronounced "yem") is both a Northumbrian and Scandinavian word for "home", making it an apt name for the restaurant which sees the very best produce of Northumberland come together with Scandinavian values and cooking techniques.
You will have to patient if you fancy trying out the 1 Michelin Star restaurant as waiting lists are long... but oh so worth it! Book in advance.
