Axis, an independent bar founded by seasoned hospitality pros Alice and Alex, brings a relaxed, approachable drinking experience inspired by their years in Sydney and Wellington. Designed to be warm and inclusive, Axis serves up a curated range of craft beers and unique wines from around the world. With nine rotating taps and an evolving wine list from small winemakers, there’s always something new to try – and the friendly team is always on hand for recommendations and tasters.
Axis is dog-friendly and welcomes families until 9pm, ensuring everyone feels at home. Though the venue doesn’t take bookings, its casual vibe means there’s nearly always room to grab a drink while you wait for a table. The venue is also available for private events Sunday through Wednesday, offering a cosy spot to gather with friends, family, or colleagues.
