We're Good to Go

The measures we have put in place:

  • The fort will be open as usual and access to the wider stretches of Hadrian's Wall from Housesteads is as usual.
  • The museum will remain open with a monitoring system based on one in, one out in operation.
  • The shop and toilets are open as usual.
  • Staff training in hygiene and social distancing and will wear necessary PPE.

How you can help when visiting us:

  • Please pre-book your timed tickets in advance.
  • If you’re an English Heritage Member, your ticket will be free but you still need to book in advance.
  • There is a limit on visitor numbers to help keep everyone safe, and you won’t be able to visit without your booking confirmation.
