Dobson and Parnell on Newcastle Quayside specialises in refined British and European cuisine and is owned by award-winning restaurateur Andy Hook who also runs Blackfriars Restaurant in Newcastle and Hinnies Restaurant in Whitley Bay. You will find Dobson and Parnell in the Michelin Guide 2020.

Set within a Victorian Grade II listed building, the elegant high-ceilinged dining room is open six days a week serving lunch and dinner. The small plates menu, served on weekday and Saturday lunchtimes, features dishes such as braised ham hock, slow-cooked belly pork, charred 4oz rump steak and mackerel pate at a price of £10 for 2 courses!

On Tuesday - Thursday evenings and Friday until 7pm, the set menu features dishes such as pan-fried black cod, butternut squash risotto and chocolate mousse with marinated cherries to complete a set meal. On Tuesday evenings (excluding December and Restaurant week), the set menu is 241 on 3 courses a cracking deal!

A refined la carte menu is also served in the evening with dishes including Smoked wild duck breast, sea buckthorn, chicory, linseed crisps to start and Turbot cooked on the bone, salsify, oxtail, horseradish for the main course, alongside a 5 or 7 course tasting menu with matching wines which will feature dishes such as Line caught mackerel with charred alliums; Ash rolled aged lamb with artichokes cooked in whey, green sauce; and Bread pudding with baked custard, sloe gin berries.

Sunday lunch is a classy affair at Dobson & Parnell on Newcastle's vibrant Quayside. Enjoy a fantastic Sunday lunch from 12-4pm, 3 courses for £19.

Dobson and Parnell was awarded its first inclusion in The Good Food Guide in 2019 and was the 2020 winner of the Taste of North East England Award.
