Summer will be full of sport this year, with the city coming alive to cheer on England in Euro 2024. The nail biting action will kick off a summer jam packed with events. Head to one of many fanzones to watch the action unfold on the big screen.
Summer is festival season in the city with the return of crowd favourite Mouth of the Tyne Festival along the coastline.
Northern Pride returns to Newcastle City Centre this year with Pride in the City. It promises to be a weekend of activism and performance with the theme of 2024 as unapologetically visible. Take part in the annual Pride March on the Saturday, where Newcastle will come alive with thousands of people weaving through the streets.
Get outdoors and explore attractions, parks and gardens that reopen especially for the spring - summer season including Alnwick Castle in Northumberland where Potter fans can perfect their broomstick flying skills. Or explore the North Tyneside coastline with Shore Yoga, a family run local yoga studio in Monkseaton.
Wander the city centre and along the iconic Quayside during the summer months and see the city come alive. Pull up a deckchair and experience free, outdoor cinema at NE1 Screen on the Green or head down to the Quayside to explore the art installations and hunt out a guided tour to discover Newcastle like never before.
