Summer is festival season in the city, and there's something for every music lover. The crowd favourite Mouth of the Tyne Festival returns along the coastline for all to enjoy. Dance all day into night at Lost Minds Festival at Exhibition Park and let Robbie Williams entertain you at the brand-new Come Together Festival on the Town Moor.
Summer is also set to be big for sport, as the Great North Run returns in September. Thousands will be participating, whether running or cheering on loved ones from viewpoints around the city.
Northern Pride returns to Newcastle City Centre this year with Pride in the City. It promises to be a weekend of activism and performance with the theme of 2025 as unapologetically visible. Take part in the annual Pride March on the Saturday, where Newcastle will come alive with thousands of people weaving through the streets.
Get outdoors and explore attractions, parks and gardens that reopen especially for the spring - summer season including Alnwick Castle in Northumberland where Potter fans can perfect their broomstick flying skills.
