Summer is festival season in the city, and there's something for every music lover. The crowd favourite Mouth of the Tyne Festival returns along the coastline for all to enjoy. Summer is also set to be big for sport, as the Great North Run returns in September. Thousands will be participating, whether running or cheering on loved ones from viewpoints around the city.

Northern Pride returns to Newcastle City Centre this year with Pride in the City. It promises to be a weekend of activism and performance with the theme of 2025 as unapologetically visible.
