Moosenwirt Alpine Bar and Christmas Village – Coming Soon!

The beloved Moosenwirt is returning to Newcastle for 2024, and this year it’s bigger and better than ever! Expanding from its successful pop-up bar on Grey Street, Moosenwirt is transforming into a full Christmas Village, bringing even more festive magic to the heart of the city.

Opening from 18th November 2024 to 2nd January 2025, Moosenwirt is now spread across three locations—Grey Street, Old Eldon Square, and Grey's Monument—with something for everyone to enjoy.

What’s New at Moosenwirt?

• Christmas Village at Old Eldon Square
  A family-friendly winter wonderland featuring magical attractions:
  • Santa Stories Tipi: Gather around for immersive storytelling with Father Christmas himself as he shares enchanting Lapland tales.
  • Elf Workshop: Kids can become honorary elves, learning the secrets of Christmas while helping create festive cheer.
  • Rocking Reindeer Stage: Enjoy amazing Christmas stage shows every weekend, with live performances from local choirs, festive entertainers, and even festive movie screenings. Stay tuned for the full schedule of events!
  • Vintage Carousel: Ride the beautifully decorated vintage carousel nestled in the heart of Old Eldon Square.
  • Local Arts & Crafts Market: Browse a variety of stalls showcasing handmade gifts and festive crafts by local artisans.
• The North Pole at Grey's Monument
  Looking for a cosy social experience? Step into one of our luxury igloo domes at Grey's Monument. Overlooking the Christmas Market, these heated igloos are perfect for relaxing with a mulled wine or hot chocolate while enjoying views down Grey Street. Ideal for small gatherings or just a break from your Christmas shopping!
• Moosenwirt Alpine Bar on Grey Street
  Back by popular demand, the Alpine Bar returns with its iconic yurt, luxury igloos, and cosy seating areas complete with fire pits. Sip on local ales, mulled cider, and festive cocktails while listening to live acoustic music from 3pm to 6pm daily.

Whether you're visiting the Christmas Village with the family, soaking up the atmosphere at Grey Street’s Alpine Bar, or booking an igloo at The North Pole, Moosenwirt promises an unforgettable festive experience. The venue is dog friendly and family friendly, with free entry across all areas.

Opening Hours: 10am-11pm daily.
Live Music: 3pm-6pm daily.
Booking: Free entry, but igloo and Elk Lodge reservations can be made online.
