Two slipways provide direct access to the River Tyne which is navigable for a distance of 4 miles upstream and 13 miles approximately downstream to the sea. Activities which can be undertaken on the river include rowing, sailing, canoeing, cruising, power boating, water-skiing and jet-skiing. Showers, toilets and changing rooms provided.
