Established by a couple originally from California, Tortilla in Eldon Square is their bid to bring the West Coast of America - famed for its burritos - to the North East of England. Fusing Mexican toppings and flavours with the Californian take on the dish - grab a tasty burrito, share a plate of nachos or dive into some authentic tacos with a bottle of Corona. If you've not made it to Fish Quay in North Shields yet then you are missing a trick! An increasingly cool area packed with independent eateries beside the sea, Fish Quay is home to Lobo Rojo - an informal Mexican restaurant and bar. The food is delicious and flavour-filled and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Lobo Rojo now has a small new outfit in Sandyford (which is nestled between Jesmond and Heaton in Newcastle).
