The Continental, Newcastle

Similar in style and ambiance to Decantus on Grey Street, The Continental is an elegant gin bar only a short walk from Newcastle's train station which also serves a menu of Spanish tapas six-days a week. Located in an opulent building drenched in history, The Continental's gourmet tapas menu includes seafood options, Spanish meats and cheeses as well as a selection of 'tostas' (or bruschetta to you and me!).

Cafe Andaluz, Newcastle

The hottest new Spanish restaurant to spice up Newcastle city centre will be Cafe Andaluz which will shortly take up residence on Grey Street and open for dining from October 2021. The small chain already has a number of establishments in Scottish cities Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen but this will be their first foray over the border into England. Expect a vast tapas menu of sharing plates, vegetarian dishes and paella.
