As the last surviving Newsreel theatre still operating as a cinema full-time in the UK, this Grade II-listed building is an important, must-see piece of heritage, not just regionally, but nationally too and it has been lovingly restored to preserve and celebrate the grandeur of its original 1937 art deco design. Tyneside Cinema is proud to be the home of great film in the North East and is the region’s leading independent cinema.

With four screens, a Bar Cafe, a digital art gallery, a traditional Coffee Rooms and displays of heritage items and contemporary artworks, all housed in a beautifully renovated old building right at the heart of Newcastle City Centre, Tyneside Cinema is an absolute must-visit venue.
