To celebrate the launch of the NUFC: Road to Wembley exhibition at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead Council has arranged a very special treat for supporters, the club’s famous open-top parade bus will be on display in Baltic Square for one day only.
Visitors can get up close to the iconic bus, snap photos, and relive the excitement of Newcastle United’s unforgettable Carabao Cup run. It’s the perfect way to kick off a buzzing bank holiday weekend, with 5,000 free exhibition tickets available each day.
Alongside the bus, the exhibition itself (22–25 August) features:
A public display of the Carabao Cup trophy (until 3pm on 25 August).
Immersive set designs recreating Newcastle’s streets and the electric atmosphere of St. James’ Park.
Audio installations capturing terrace chants, commentary and fan voices from the journey to Wembley.
After Friday, Baltic Square comes alive with the North East Eats food and music festival, giving visitors plenty more to enjoy across the weekend.
Don’t miss your chance to see the NUFC parade bus in Gateshead – a one-day-only fan experience to remember.
