Make magical memories this Christmas at Newcastle's popular family attraction, Life Science Centre with a visit to their outdoor ice skating rink in Times Square.
Ice Skating Sessions: Let your inner skater shine during hour-long sessions (including 45 minutes on the ice, allowing time for skate fitting). Guarantee your spot by booking your ice skating tickets online prior to your visit -with open hours from Monday – Sunday, 9:30 am till late (availability dependent)!
Please note that between 22-24 December, special admission fees apply.
Skate Confidently: Skate rental is included in the ticket price. Feel free to bring your own skates, although discounts for personal skates aren't available.
Secure Your Belongings: Lockers are accessible at the reception for a small fee. Keep in mind that all belongings, including shoes, are left at your own discretion.
Dress Comfortably: Stay warm and dry with suitable attire – waterproofs, hats, and gloves are recommended. Pack extra socks and a change of clothes just in case. Need gloves or socks? The Life shop has got you covered!
Wheelchair Access: Life Science Centre ice rink warmly welcomes visitors in wheelchairs, especially during quieter times like early weekend sessions. Skating Etiquette Tips:
- Children aged 9 years and under must be accompanied on the ice by an adult.
- Skaters aged 10 – 12 years should have adult supervision, either on the ice rink or from the viewing platform.
- Planning to bring young skaters under 1.2 metres tall? Consider renting skating aids for £5.00 on the day (subject to availability).
- Kindly note that space on the viewing platform is limited and reserved for guardians overseeing their young skaters.
