Gather with friends and family this Yule for a creative embroidery workshop that celebrates both heritage and the festive season. Embroidery was a treasured craft in the Anglo-Saxon world, with symbolic designs that often carried meaning for winter gatherings — traditions that continue to inspire us at Christmas.
This three-hour workshop welcomes all experience levels. Guided by Wendy and Stuart Findlay of the Acle Early Medieval Reenactment Society, you’ll learn traditional stitches and techniques that inspired the stunning embroideries now displayed in our Anglo-Saxon Great Hall and Museum.
Each participant will receive a Yule-inspired sampler to complete and take home. All equipment and materials are provided.
Your ticket also includes tea or coffee and a warmed mince pie — the perfect winter treat to enjoy as you stitch.
Celebrate the season and the iconic George Michael and his timeless music and charismatic stage...
