Hoults Yard has been transformed in recent years from an industrial estate to a funky and flexible office/studio complex with character. Hoults Yard was built for the renowned Tyneside pottery Malings which, at its peak, employed over 1,000 staff at the site. The Hoult family acquired the business and used the space for storage and removals until 1983.

Recent developments have focused on revitalising the historic buildings, including RICS award winning Mailing Exchange, The Old Forge and The Boiler House. The Mailing Exchange offers up 40 offices addressing the need for bespoke workspace for the fast growing creative and tech sector in the north east. The popular café housed in original 1879 Clocktower in the heart of the yard offers up a fantastic place to spend a lunch break or hold an informal meeting with colleagues and business prospects.

As well as being a fantastic place to work, its desirable location in Ouseburn means Hoults Yard is becoming a leisure destination too, with the ever-popular Proven Goods Co attracting visitors far and wide to try their delicious doughnuts. Ghetto Golf, a combination of crazy golf, cocktails, graffiti and street food is a popular night life attraction along with its own brewery and tap room, Full Circle Brew Co.
