The two AA Rosettes restaurant, which also features in the Michelin Guide, is owned by Dave Coulson - a former finalist of Masterchef: The Professionals - and exudes experimental dining. 

Peace and Loaf is another excellent Newcastle-based restaurant with a commitment to fresh, locally sourced produce and rolls out carefully curated seasonal menus to ensure no visit is the same. Dishes at Peace and Loaf are definitely an art form - and a splurge - but it is well-worth a visit. Sohe can be found at the top end of Jesmond's lively Osbourne Road in the thick of the action and is a brilliant restaurant for evening gatherings, date nights and celebrations. It perfectly rolls from day-to-night vibes with it's sumptuous decor and extensive cocktail menu too. A stylish option, Sohe won't break the bank and serves up a flavour-filled menu of pan-Asian dishes from Thai green or katsu curries to ramen noodle dishes or teriyaki salmon main options.

The cafe, restaurant, bar and onsite bakery - Arlo - is a wholesome, hearty and friendly place on Brentwood Avenue in Jesmond and sits alongside a number of independent boutiques, restaurants and must-visit cafes like Cake Stories.
