The gorgeous interiors and similarly gorgeous drinks are enough to impress anyone!
From a creepy dystopian playground to jungle themed madness, Junkyard Golf Club is certainly a place to make an impression on your first date. The crazy golf course consists of three 9-hole courses and serves wacky cocktails, any first date nerves will disappear in no time.
Ouseburn is the perfect spot to take a first date if you are wanting to show off one of the quaintest neighbourhoods in Newcastle. Walk from the Quayside along The Ouseburn and stop off at Kiln for a bite to eat. The spot is well loved by locals, the hustle and bustle making a perfect soundtrack to a first date. The selection of coffees, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will keep you occupied, and don;t forget to take a peek into the pottery studio.
With a history that stretches back much further than its 2002 opening, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art is the biggest gallery of its kind in the world. Spend the day enjoying the contemporary visual art, and
with an ever-changing calendar of exhibitions and activities designed to give a unique and compelling insight into contemporary artistic practice, there is always something different to be discovered. Be sure to take your date up to the viewing platform to get one of the best views of Newcastle and Gateshead, and if it is going well, pop into SIX and have a drink or two whilst you overlook the River Tyne.
If your date loves the cinema, impress in the surroundings of Tyneside's historic Art Deco space. Watch either a cult classic or a new release in the magnificent surroundings. The cinema may not be the most talkative of dates, so why not head to Vicolo afterwards to talk over the film and get to know your date a bit better.
