This is the first Afternoon Tea in Newcastle that we have spotted to include the option of a glass of mulled wine too - so you're guaranteed the all-round Christmas experience.

The Vermont Hotel oozes class all year round but at Christmas, it really feels magical. Join the Newcastle-based hotel for a Festive Afternoon Tea available everyday in December from 1 - 24 December 2021. The tower of treats includes all the expected favourites like scones with clotted cream as well as festive cakes and plenty of chocolatey delights. Hotel Du Vin in Newcastle is another spectacular venue to tuck into a luxury festive Afternoon tea. Found on the edge of Ouseburn, Hotel Du Vin invite you to enjoy a classic afternoon tea with a festive twist. Seven Stories in Ouseburn, Newcastle have a wonderfully festive Afternoon Tea for families to experience together this Christmas. Afternoon Teas will be a fully festive experience at Seven Stories who have lined up Santa's elves to deliver some story times and help all the children with some Christmassy craft activities. South Causey Inn near Gateshead are famed for their Doggy Afternoon Teas (!) as well as their heavily ladened tiered displays. Don't miss their special Christmas Afternoon Teas this year which include the addition of turkey sandwiches and Christmas cake to the traditional scones and cream. Pair with a glass of sparkly, festive cocktail or make it a family affair with a special Children's Afternoon Tea.

If you're looking for Great British Bake-Off standard Afternoon Teas this Christmas then take a wander into Ouseburn and pay a visit to Dreamworld Cakes. The small but perfectly formed family-run patisserie and cafe in the heart of Ouseburn, has yet to announce their Christmas version of their classic Afternoon Tea but rest assured, it is coming! The independent and luxury cafe sells perfectly handcrafted continental patisserie items along with delicious truffles and biscuits. It is well-worth a visit any time of year! 

The spectacular Spanish City in the coastal town of Whitley Bay has a great range of Christmassy Afternoon Tea events in 2021. Join them seven-days a week for their Festive Afternoon Tea and enjoy a selection of delights that include turkey and stuffing sandwiches, spiced cranberry & citrus scones, white chocolate & Bailey's truffle as well as the festive staple of sweet mince pies.
