Newcastle based comedian Anja Atkinson is garnering attention for her relentless, caustic wit and has been described as funny, filthy and fabulous.
She won Mr Shindig's New Act of the Year and Manchester Comedy Store's King Gong in 2017, both within her first year of performing. Now a regular at venues all over the North of England, Anja has been featured on BBC Radio 4's "Fred at the Stand" with Fred McCauley, as well as BBC Newcastles Grin Up North Comedy Showcase. Anja was also shortlisted for the BBC New Comedian of the Year 2022 Regional Showcase.
Jarrows Seymour Mace is a former professional clown who started stand up in Manchester and carries on the lineage of surreal North East Comedy. His Edinburgh Fringe shows are much vaunted dealing with mental health struggles through being stupid.
