You’re in for a (trick or) treat... Halloween is upon us!

Halloween is a busy time in NewcastleGateshead when venues across the North East offer you spine-tingling thrills and in some cases - a darn terrifying fright! Halloween tends to coincide with half-term too so expect a host of themed activities at family-friendly attractions perfect for your little monsters and filled with thrills, chills and plenty of sweeties.

Head into the town to revel in Halloween themed nights, with curated cocktails and food on every corner welcoming in the 'spooky season!'. Try Great British Cupcakery's special 'Hocus Porkus' afternoon tea or choose from a range of themed cocktails from bars in Newcastle to celebrate in style.

Late night openings for older children at popular outdoor attractions like Discovery Museum, Alnwick Garden and Belsay Hall prove to be a sell-out spookfests year on year while Tyneside Cinema are renowned for their epic adult-only Halloween movie All-nighter.

Give yourself the heebie-jeebies when you make your way around Newcastle Castle on a spooky evening walk. Enjoy exclusive after hours access to one of Newcastle's most haunted buildings on the spookiest night of the year! Treat your dog this Halloween and indulge in tasty treats, and dress up in your scariest costume at South Causey Inn for their doggy afternoon tea, including a free 'doggy ice cream' for your doggy! A spooky Halloween guest will make an appearance with festive gifts for all and for a photo with you and your pooch. There will also be an extra special prize for the best doggy and owner matching Halloween costumes, so go all out!
