Get ready to kick off this year’s Pride in Gateshead celebrations in colourful style with a high-energy launch event at the Metrocentre on Saturday 2 August 2025.
From 10am to 4pm, the popular shopping destination will be filled with music, stalls, giveaways, live entertainment and plenty of family-friendly activities, including an appearance from the Metrognomes — who last year were spotted dancing with the Mayor!
Organised in partnership with Gateshead Council and Gateshead College, the event marks the official start of Pride in Gateshead’s packed programme. Visitors can expect a warm welcome, vibrant displays and a joyful day out celebrating love, inclusion and community.
