ALL THINGS COME
“20 Years in Songwriting”
An Evening with Gareth Davies-Jones

“A troubadour evening of exceptional musical storytelling to gather folk together
and inspire the collective imagination.”

Gareth Davies-Jones : Background & Experience
Gareth Davies-Jones - singer, songwriter, story-teller and producer has been writing, recording and
performing as a professional musician for twenty years. The lead songwriter from Howay The Lasses, a collaborator with folk luminaries like Megson, Calum Stewart, Celtish and Yvonne Lyon, from community halls to concert halls, he has travelled the length and breadth of the countryarmed with a rich distinctive voice and now two decades worth of perceptive and compelling songwriting spanning some sixteen albums and song-writing collaborations. Having garnered a
loyal following on the independent roots/acoustic scene, his solo performances are known for
gathering people together, inviting audiences to travel with him into a world of landscapes, history, characters and causes all underpinned with assured vocals and the warmth and vibrancy of a beautifully played array of stringed instruments. From stories of heroism on the Irish Sea to gentle praise for a Loire Valley village, from insight into the lives of pitman painters to musical tributes to the iconic lighthouses and captivating landscapes that define Northern Britain an evening with
Gareth is as much story-telling adventure as it is musical entertainment.

“All Things Come” sets out to share a life in song-writing to warm the heart and soul.
What Will The Show Be Like For Audiences ?
Throughout the evening the audience will hear the backgrounds and contexts of the characters, places & circumstances that are introduced through song - the quirky, funny, serious and sad. It’s an evening
rich in stories and anecdotes garnering the sense you’re leaning a little more closely into hearth. There will be instrumental variety featuring a stage array of up to 5 stringed instruments including guitar,
mandocello, tenor guitar and mandolin. Each brings a distinctive voice and character to the songs adding interest for audiences as the tone and timbre changes from piece to piece. A simple lighting set
up focuses on the performance allowing story and song room to breathe as listeners enter their imagination and musical pictures conjure different times and places. There'll be a chance to sing along
and a chance to sit back and let the melodies lead.

As Gareth says - “Wherever we go, we'll go together - a shared musical journey on which it will be my
pleasure to be your guide.”
