Emerald 55 is a month-long, free exhibition taking place at Metrocentre’s Upper Green Mall (opposite NEXT), running from 1–31 August 2025. Curated as part of Pride in Gateshead, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on what pride really means—through the words, experiences and identities of LGBTQ+ communities across Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead.
