Weaving for Wellbeing is a year long project supporting wellbeing and nature-connectedness through creative practice for women who attend The Comfrey Project.
From September 2025 to September 2026, working with artists Savannah Rios-Wills and Saya Naruse, the women embarked on creative activities, skills sharing, storytelling, nature walks and gardening. They used plants from the Comfrey garden and allotment over the course of the changing seasons to develop seasonal focused creative activities including, foraging, weaving, natural dying and making cordage. From this they have created a quilt, flatweave, cyanotypes, willow baskets, cordage and other artwork that is on display in this exhibition.
