Step right up for Escape from the Keep — a spectacular day of mystery, magic, and daring escapes at the Castle as part of our Carnival at the Castle celebrations!

Join the incredible United Kingdom Escape Artists as they bring the Castle to life with jaw-dropping escapes, fascinating tales from the history of escapology, and close-up magic that will leave you amazed. Wander through the Castle grounds and experience a thrilling mix of illusion, suspense, and carnival fun for all ages.

All performances taking place in Newcastle Castle are included in your annual pass!

Itinerary:
11am - James Clark Gibbet Escape!
12pm - Houdini Talk & Restraint Showcase (Hands-on viewing of Houdini-style restraints)
1pm - Live Escape Challenge in the Great Hall
1:30pm - Live Escape in the Dungeons!
2pm - Doncaster Restraints Museum Demo in the Great Hall
3pm - THE GRAND FINALE - Chris Cross performs upside-down straightjacket escape from the Castle Keep Roof.
