Ahead of the annual Newcastle Pride festival,Newcastle Cathedral has teamed up with the organisers, Curious Arts, who will welcome families and people of all ages for a drop-in banner-making workshop with a professional artist on Saturday 11 July.
These sessions are open to everyone aged 0-99 who would like to attend, and pre-booking is required to ensure there are enough materials for everyone. Newcastle Pride is encouraging everyone to come along, including LGBTQIA+ families and young people who would like to meet like-minded individuals in a safe space.
Join us to make your own colourful banners with support from a professional artist. Create something personal and meaningful, whether thats a statement of pride, a reflection of identity, or simply a joyful expression of creativity.
Any banners you make during the workshop are yours to keep and take home, but wed love to see them again at Newcastle Pride on Saturday 25 July. Bring them along to proudly display as you join us for the Pride March, setting off from the Civic Centre at 12pm.
Please note: Booking is essential to ensure we have enough materials for everyone.
Newcastle Pride is a vibrant, community-driven celebration of LGBTQIA+ culture, now proudly delivered by Curious Futures, part of the Curious Arts family.
