Following Government regulations the Bookshop will close to the general public from 3pm on Thursday 31st December until further notice but will continue to serve delicious takeaway coffee and fabulous cakes.
Seven Stories Bookshop is an independent children's bookshop in the heart of Ouseburn, Newcastle. Part of popular visitor attraction, Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children's Books, the bookshop is a treasure trove of loved books for children of all ages, avid readers, developing readers, fans of YA fiction, an extensive range of colourful picture books and much more. Adults will also love browsing the many shelves of nostalgic children's books, reference books and illustrated novels. There is a book for any bookworm from babies and toddlers to through to children, teenagers and adults alike.
Prints, cards and gifts are also available to buy from Seven Stories Bookshop including original artwork by respected illustrators and signed copies of new and favourite books by best-selling authors. Browse the bookshelves or enjoy a hot drink in the coffee shop area surrounded by books. The local bookshop is a great place to buy gifts and unique souvenirs when you are in Newcastle.
Entry to Seven Stories' independent bookshop (and the cafe on the floor below) is free, although there is a charge to access the rest of the visitor centre. Pick the brains of their friendly and knowledgeable staff who are delighted to make recommendations as well as help you find the book you're looking for.
Keep an eye out for events with visiting authors and illustrators, book signings and craft activities which often take place in the Bookshop.
