Newcastle's famed nightlife scene has returned with an extra slice of sophistication and the emergence of new rooftop bars across the city.
The necessity for alfresco dining and bars emerged as venues readied themselves for a post-pandemic world. However, with views of the city from the tallest building in Newcastle, a chance to watch the world go by overlooking Grey's Monument and 360º panoramas across the Quayside - we don't need much convincing and can see why a rooftop bar is the sought after option for visitors and locals looking to experience a night out in Newcastle.
Newcastle has seen an influx of rooftop bars appear offering their own spectacular views and the ideal setting for special occasions, romantic getaways or simply celebrating the return to freedom while providing the stylish backdrop for a long-awaited catch up with friends and family. Despite the weather not always playing ball in the North East, you can confidently find a rooftop bar with all-weather protect, covers and heaters so that you remain looking 'en fleek' whatever the elements throw at us.
