Browse the luxurious beauty counters, parade between clothing aisles and get lost in the dazzling food hall. Make your way up the lift to continue your day at Roof 39 and enjoy delicious food and drink overlooking the streets of Newcastle.
Explore the extraordianary at Point Blank
NewcastleGateshead is full of wild and wonderful things to do to celebrate your big day including Point Blank Shooting. Why not round up your friends and head to the UK's first simulation shooting range. They have over 200 shooting scenes to choose from and a leader board to encourage some competitive birthday fun. Discover who amongst you has the best aim and who can remain focused despite sampling a cocktail or two when you take on the exceptionally realistic shooting ranges which are actually the same systems used worldwide to train professional shooters. The 5 replica guns you will find when opening your personal armoury have been replaced with laser technology. Head down to the Quayside to sample fine dining at its best. ROUTE offers high quality ingredients sourced to create clean flavours in a casual Bistro setting and officially awarded a Bib Gourmad accolade. With a bi-weekly changing menu cooked to order and designed to share, it is a perfect place to celebrate with a touch of sophistication.
Heading further towards to the Quayside, you will find the first of renowned chef Kenny Atkinson's restaurants, new for 2022, Solstice. Opening in July 2022, Solstice is a new fine dining restaurant offering an elegant and intimate dining experience., with spaces for just 14 diners. They serve a single tasting menu focusing on quality ingredients, emphasising simplicity, seasonality, and sustainable practices. The tasting menu consists of around 15-18 individual servings, starting with a series of snacks, then on to savoury dishes from both land and sea, finishing with the sweet section of desserts and petits fours, its definitely the perfect spot for a birthday treat!
Round the corner from Solstice, you will find Kenny Atkinson's Micheline Star restaurant House of Tides. Receiving the accolade in 2016, House of Tides has become a hotspot for foodies. House of Tides is a casual, informal fine dining restaurant which is set over two floors. The rustic ground floor entrance level with its original 16th century flagstones and exposed beams, provides an excellent venue whether you're settling-in for a drink, pre-dinner aperitif or a leisurely nightcap. The first floor which houses the main restaurant seating area also with exposed beams, big open fireplace as well as views over the River Tyne. House of Tides was also awarded 14th place in a prestigious list of 100 top UK restaurants in the 2022 National Restaurant Awards; the highest ranking North East restaurant in a tough national competition.
Revel in nostalgia at Lane 7
Want to celebrate just like you used to? Challenge your friends and head to Lane 7 to have endless fun with bowling, karaoke and even a game of ping pong. Unlike children's parties, there is a wide range of cocktails to indulge in, and beer pong tables to really get the party started.
