The Wizarding Organ – Ewa Belmas plays The Music of Harry Potter

The Wizarding Organ Ewa Belmas plays The Music of Harry Potter
Join us for a special half-term treat: hear the music of Harry Potter like you've never heard it before, played on the Cathedral's magnificent organ.

Ewa Belmas, a talented concert organist from Ukraine and now based in England, will present a unique suite comprising her own transcriptions of John Williams' spellbinding compositions from the first three Harry Potter movies.

This magical recital will last approximately 45 minutes. Potter-themed fancy dress is encouraged!

Important information (please read):

Newcastle Cathedral’s weekly organ recitals are free to attend, with a £5 suggested (but optional) donation to support the artist and help our music programme continue to thrive. Don't forget to add Gift Aid to increase the value of your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you.

Pre-booking is encouraged so we know how many people to expect and ensure a warm welcome for all. Unfortunately, we cannot promise you entry to the recital if you don't book in advance. (Spaces will be allocated separately for regular organ recital attendees.)

Please note:

* This recital, produced by Ewa Belmas as a fundraising event for the Cathedral, is an independent celebration of the music of Harry Potter. It is not officially endorsed or affiliated with J.K. Rowling, Warner Bros., or any associated Harry Potter entities.
* Seating will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. If you plan to arrive between 12:30pm and 1pm, we kindly request keeping noise levels to a minimum out of respect for the Eucharist service taking place elsewhere in the building.
* Café 16 in the Cathedral Refectory will be open after the recital until 4pm for snacks and refreshments.
