Discovery Museum’s major new exhibition - Steam to Green: A North East Energy Revolution - will tell the story of energy and the climate crisis in the North East by looking back to the industrial revolution, and forward to the pioneering contributions in green technologies happening now across the region.
With exciting new displays, science and engineering objects from the museum’s historical collections, and new hands-on interactives, Steam to Green will demystify new technologies and showcase how the North East is leading the way once more.
Visitors can learn about the story of energy and the climate crisis in Discovery Museum’s major new exhibition Steam to Green: A North East Energy Revolution, opening on 20 July and running for two years. By looking back to the industrial revolution and forward to the pioneering contributions in green technologies, Steam to Green will showcase how the North East is once more taking a lead in industrial innovation.
