Get ready to run, walk, skip or dance your way through clouds of colour at this year’s Pride in Gateshead: Colour Fun Run – returning to Chopwell Woods on Wednesday 20 August 2025.
One of last year’s standout events, the Colour Fun Run brings together people of all ages and fitness levels for a joyful, high-energy 5K through the scenic woodland – with plenty of colour powder, laughter and cheer along the way. Organised in partnership with Forestry England, the event drew more than 350 participants last year, from pram-pushing parents to octogenarians.
This year promises even more colour and celebration, with food vans, music, stalls and kids’ activities creating a lively festival feel throughout the evening. Whether you're aiming for a personal best or simply want to soak up the atmosphere and get a little messy, you’re welcome to take part.
Entry is completely free, but registration is essential. Participants are also encouraged to raise sponsorship in support of Out North East, helping keep inclusive events like this going for years to come.
