Out North East’s much-loved Pride Family Picnic is back for 2025, bringing a joyful afternoon of free fun to Saltwell Park for all ages.
Pack your picnic blanket and head to The Grove near Saltwell Towers for four hours of laid-back entertainment, including live music, craft activities, local stalls and inflatables for the kids (and big kids!). Whether you're popping by with friends or planning a full family day out, everyone is welcome at this relaxed celebration of community and Pride.
Dogs are welcome too – just make sure they’re kept on a lead.
Please note there is no parking onsite. Visitors are encouraged to walk, use public transport or catch Go North East buses 53/54 from Gateshead Interchange. The park is a 30-minute walk from central Gateshead and is easily accessible from surrounding neighbourhoods.
This free outdoor event is a highlight of Pride in Gateshead and the perfect way to enjoy some feel-good summer fun in the park.
