Newcastle's Christmas Market will return November 2023. Please check back for dates and further information.
Plan a visit to Newcastle's Christmas Markets, grab a mulled wine and festive bratwurst before browsing the stalls to shop for Christmas gifts for your loved ones. This year, the market will be extended this year to include an avenue of stalls along Grainger Street, the streets lining Grainger Market, the top of Grey Street, and Old Eldon Square.
Once again, the Christmas market has a particularly local focus and celebrates the talented independent businesses, makers, creators and artisans in our region. There will be a brilliant range of local businesses and independent traders who will be selling their bespoke jewellery, eco-friendly beauty products, clothing, Churros, homemade chutneys and preserves as well as fabulously unique gifts during the four-week market. For those wanting to take a rest after they've shopped until they've dropped, Moosenwirt, an alpine-inspired pop-up bar set inside a yurt near Grey's Monument is the ideal place to visit to sip a mulled wine around a cosy fire pit.
Market traders confirmed.
This year, the market traders may differ over the course of the markets. Check back here to see which traders will be there when you visit.
Market traders include some familiar faces like Geordie Bangers and Redheads Mac and Cheese who have popular, permanent stalls within Grainger Market. What better way to warm your soul than a hearty portion of mac and cheese? The firm favourites will be serving up their food to fuel your trip to the Christmas markets.
Christmas shoppers will be able to pick up unique gifts including stunning hand painted glassware from creatives, B Crafty and handmade wooden and metal ornaments from Baliwood Workshop. There will be handmade ceramics including garlic graters from Bcreative and the chance to pick up some sports clothing and accessories from Calorie Balance. Wander along to The Eco Stall to discover their range of plastic and waste free toiletries and home products.
You won't miss the inviting smells from food stalls on Grey Street whose tantalising treats will help warm you up on a frosty day. Toon favourites Meat Stack and Acropolis will be serving up tasty treats. Moosenwirt alpine bar is new to the market this year, providing revellers with a festive stop for a mulled wine or two!
