What is Mini Wonders
Mini Wonders is a series of free sessions for pre-school children and their families, with stories, songs, museum objects and activities. The club is by invitation only for families we have contacted through their school nursery.
There will be 8 sessions to attend at the Great North Museum : Hancock.
After the session families will be provided with a free light 'on- the-go' lunch to enjoy in the museum or on their way back to home or nursery Transport to and from the museum will also be paid for.
Brothers and sisters of your pre-school child are welcome to come along. You will need to tell us their names and ages when you book so that we know how many people to expect.
Each family can bring one adult*
*Please contact us if you require more than one adult space.

Timetable for the days
9.00am: Travel to the museum and time to explore the galleries before the session
10am: Make your way to the Mouse House at the front of the museum
10-10.45am: Mini Wonders activities in the Mouse House
10.45-11am:Search and find activity in one of the museum galleries
11-11.20am: Mini Wonders story time in the Mouse House
11.20-11.30am:Close of session
11.30am onwards: Lunch is provided. You are welcome to eat this in the museum cafe or as a takeaway on your way back to home or nursery
This is a pilot project and we are getting money from Art Fund and Nesta to run these sessions. We will need to ask you some questions along the way so that we can tell the funders what worked best for you and make our sessions as good as they can be for your needs and those of future families taking part.
