Once reviewed as one of the North Easts hidden gems, Jammshed is a band led by singer/songwriter Mike Soanes. Jammsheds music is difficult to categorize. Each of its albums offers a different sound from full blown brass to acoustic guitar and cello, but the thread running through them all is Mikes creative songwriting and singing. The current line-up offers a very unique acoustic sound featuring a striking combination of soprano sax and fiddle, improvising within the structure of the songs, where three part harmonies augment the memorable melodies and poetic lyrics. Jammshed have released four albums, the latest, Displaced a 13 track album to raise money for humanitarian aid for Ukraine. Y
