Aaron Duff is an artist who works under the name ‘Hector Gannet’, both solo and with his band. Based in North Shields, Hector Gannet began to draw attention after Aaron wrote music to accompany vintage footage of his native north east and its heritage of fishing, shipbuilding and mining, as part of a live music project for the BFI.
Tours with fellow Shieldsman and double Brit Award winner Sam Fender, and with highly esteemed purveyors of high church rock Sea Power followed with Hector Gannet’s debut album Big Harcar, as well as shows in the USA.
Hector Gannet’s deep love of nature is a big part of the ethos around the projects the band work on, and this event will partner with local wildlife educational company Wild Intrigue to raise further awareness around the Tyne Kittiwake project.
