Double Standards presents The Elidas Sarah Johnsone Isabel Maria
Join us at Three Tanners Bank for a gorgeous night celebrating female talent with music from Scottish duo The Elidas as well as local acts Sarah Johnsone and Isabel Maria, with all profits going to the West End Women and Girls Centre.About the artists:

The Elidas are Scottish identical twins, Venice and Belle. Their sibling harmonies, heartbreaking lyrics and charming covers are fast making them "ones to watch" in the indie folk scene. Signed to indie label River Jones Music in Austin, the girls played to sold out audiences in Texas last year and are back in the UK to take their music up and down the country.

Sarah Johnsone

Debuting as a solo artist, rising North East artist Sarah Johnsone gained serious plaudits for wistful single Tonight, from Spotifys prestigious New Music Friday to being featured on Franky Berrys critically acclaimed Aisha. Johnsones trajectory saw her partner with a full band and enter anthemic, alt rock territory, with her vocals consistently loaded with provocation.

Isabel Maria

Pen in hand, ribbon in hair, 18 year old Sunderland singer songwriter Isabel Maria has been shattering expectations since 2021. Isabels alternative pop dialogues of mental health, human relationships and self deprecation have earned her international praise from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Rolling Stone Espanol.

Having just been named a BBC Introducing One to watch this year, Isabels music is a true showcase of her emotional vulnerability and biting wit, and is more than deserving of the momentum and excitement that is building for her.

About West End Women and Girls Centre

All profits from the night will be donated to the West End Women and Girls Centre which gives hope to so many who need it right here in the heart of our community. They are the only open access centre in Newcastle and provide outreach education and empowerment to women and girls in need. Whether its a warm meal, support through domestic abuse, help with housing and accessing social services, or simply a shoulder to cry on, the team at the centre do anything and everything they can for those around them. Due to continuous funding cuts, the centre desperately needs our support to help keep the doors open, the lights on, and to keep up the incredible work that goes on every day.
