Launch Event -'Breaking Through to Freedom - Meet the Artist' - Newcastle Cathedral

24 November @ 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm

Join us at Newcastle Cathedral for a special reception celebrating Breaking Through to Freedom, a powerful exhibition of poetry and oil painting by artist Talia Sena.

Drawing on her personal journey from domestic abuse to survival, freedom, healing and thriving, Talia's work gives voice to lived experience, raises awareness of domestic abuse and invites reflection on its lasting impact.

This launch is an opportunity to meet Talia, explore her artwork and discover the stories behind the exhibition.

The exhibition takes place during the United Nations' 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, coinciding with White Ribbon Day on 25 November - a global movement calling on people to take a stand against violence towards women and girls.

All are welcome.

This event is ticketed on a 'Give As You Feel' basis, with a suggested donation of 5 to cover the event costs. Booking is encouraged to help us plan seating. A selection of warming, alcohol-free winter refreshments will be available.

After the launch event, the exhibition will be open free of charge during standard Cathedral opening hours - no booking required. We look forward to welcoming you!
