This exhibition pays particular attention to process in its many forms; in the diversity and mastery of contemporary printmaking, in the multidisciplinary approach of mixed media and in the application of paint and the moulding of clay. Here, we are drawn to work that reveals its making. Small irregularities, thoughtful details and honest materials speak of time well spent rather than time saved. They remind us that lasting things are rarely rushed.
Process asks for patience. Technique asks for attention. Pieces are shaped by hands that understand their materials, by knowledge gathered over time and by a willingness to work slowly enough for quality to emerge naturally.
