Join our Disability, Equality & Customer Service training to learn how to provide inclusive and accessible customer service.

The course provides a shared understanding of disability, rights and responsibilities, and the practical steps organisations can take to remove barriers. It will be delivered by trainers from North East Museums and The Glasshouse: International Centre for Music, as part of a collaboration withAttitude is Everything [https://attitudeiseverything.org.uk/].

Although often associated with front-of-house or customer-facing roles, this course is designed for anyone who works with people. Disabled people are everywhere: within workforces, among artists, performers, technicians, volunteers and freelance staff, as well as audiences, customers, family and friends. Inclusive communication and accessible practice are therefore relevant across all roles and departments.

There will be no more than 20 people in each session with break out discussions. Staff and volunteers from North East Museums and The Glasshouse: International Centre for Music will be attending, as well as other cultural venues.

Register now and join us for this informative and engaging training.

Topics covered include:

* Disability and the UK today

* Types of discrimination
* Models of disability
