Join local walk leader Vic for a relaxing weekly wellbeing walk in the beautiful Land of Oak & Iron.
Set in the lower Derwent Valley, this scenic area offers a rich mix of woodland, meadows, riverside paths, and historic monuments—alongside plenty of wildlife to enjoy along the way.
The walk is a gentle stroll of up to 3 miles, taken at a comfortable pace to suit the group. It’s a great opportunity to get some fresh air, take in the surroundings, and enjoy friendly conversation.
Please come dressed appropriately for the outdoors, with sturdy footwear. Waterproofs are recommended depending on the weather.
These walks are organised with our partners at Gateshead Council’s Active Travel Public Health & Wellbeing.
