Our Beginners Improv course is full of fun and laughter and designed especially for adults with no prior improv or performance experience. The workshop style classes are playful, sociable and creative, with no pressure to perform or be funny. Over 6 weekly sessions, you’ll learn the FUNdamentals of improv - a dynamic and collaborative theatrical art form that’s not only entertaining but equips you with invaluable personal skills for the stage we call life.
Improv is collaborative – you learn together. The focus is on listening, responding and supporting each other – not on being clever or getting laughs. Along the way, you’ll start to build skills that carry beyond the room, including confidence, presence, communication, adaptability and resilience.
Some people arrive a little nervous and soon find they’re having too much fun to notice. You’re in safe hands. Boho Art’s School of Improv programme is the longest running if its kind in the UK (since 2003), and our teachers are specialists. All you need to do is take the first step. We’ll take care of the rest.
