oin local artist and tutor Gail for this creative workshop learning how to make your own sketchbook, diary or notebook – it would make a great travel journal too!
Gail will teach you how to use different types of papers, including old maps, music paper, lined paper, patterned paper, brown paper, plain paper etc. to create your book.
You will spend some time choosing from all the lovely papers, working out which patterns and colours to put together – you will then learn how to stitch bind to finish your bespoke book.
Having made the book we will then (time permitting) begin to decorate and embellish or maybe even add a pocket inside too.
The workshop will run in our private Map Room and includes a cuppa to enjoy during the session.
After the workshop why not treat yourself to a spot of lunch from our café or go for a little wander in the beautiful lower Derwent Valley from our doorstep.
