Johnny the Biblical Rapper is a white male spoken word poet performed and written by Tessa Parr a white northern female. Expect soft boy entitlement and absurd sexual energy generated by a deep connection to male shame. The result is a provocative, hilarious, dark investigation into power dynamic, class language, and ownership of the female body.
Examining male social conformity, Johnny (the poet) explores how pressure to follow traditional gender performance norms shape male psychology and how profoundly shame enforces that conformity.
Through prose, monologues, and dance, Johnny gradually reveals himself, the performance becoming a psychological exploration of a masculinity at odds with what society prescribes.
